Intelligent Interventions© has produced resources for consumers and professionals to assist in providing interventions for substance abuse, addiction and co-occurring disorders. Some of these resources have been developed so that they can be delivered internationally, while others have been produced as part of ​Intelligent Interventions© training services. The resources provided on this website aim to provide general information about various substance abuse, addiction and co-occurring disorders, as well as, techniques that focus on a cognitive change approach to managing difficulties associated with recovery and relapse.

If you suffer from anxiety or depression and are looking for specific information about different types of problems, then these InfoPak's might be relevant to you. We strongly encourage you to talk to your local doctor or a mental health professional about your difficulties as the information provided in the resources are NOT a substitute for proper diagnosis or treatment by an appropriate health professional. ​

 

Professionals​
If you are a Recovery Coach, Sober Mentor, Recovery Support Specialist or a Mental Health Practitioner and you are interested in cognitive change approaches to psychological interventions, then the resources provided in these sections may be useful in the delivery of recovery support and mental health services to consumers. It is beneficial to have some background knowledge of cognitive change theory and counseling practices before using the manuals or information sheets/worksheets so that you are best able to put them into practice.  ​

 

If you suffer from anxiety or depression and are looking for specific information about different types of problems then the information packages, or Info-Pack, listed below may be relevant to you. The Info-Pack consist of a number of modules that you can complete online, or you can save the modules to your computer and work through them onscreen in your own time. Alternatively, you can print out the modules and work through them by hand.

Managing Anxiety.  This information package is designed to facilitate learning to manage your own anxiety is an absolute must if you are to manage the emotions of others whether you are coaching a family for a scheduled intervention, or are on the other end of the line during a telephone recovery support check-up or wellness assessment and follow-up

Coping with Depression: This Info-Pack is designed to provide you with some information about depression and suggested strategies for how you can manage your mood. Overcoming Perfectionism: This Information Package is designed to help you understand what is helpful and unhelpful about being a perfectionist. The goal is not for you to give up your high standards altogether but to learn to pursue healthy high standards rather than unrelenting high standards that negatively impact your life.
